Open Question: So my vet just told me bad news about my puppy (bull terrier)?
ok so his balls never dropped, which I knew before I purchased him, and since I’m not breeding him, didn’t mind, so he gets fixed next month…but now I find out he has a heart murmur thats never going to go away and the lenses on his eyes seem “weird” and “abnormal”, but can still see. I’m aware that heart problems and blindness are common in this breed, but i saw the parents health certificates and all and thought i was getting a healthy pup. should i say something to the breeder? and how will these problems affect his life?
he has to get fixed asap because they’re not sure where one of the testicles is, and if it’s in the abdomen and not taken care of, he has a MUCH higher chance of getting cancer
also, 2 vets have seen him on his 2 visits so far, and they both heard the murmur. the 1st vet didn’t seem too concerned b/c he was only 8 weeks and said it could still go away. the second one noticed it too, but said it was very quiet, but due to his age now, will not go away. the first vet never checked his eyes, but the second is looking into the eye thing b/c the breed is not common in the state i live in and isn’t used to seeing them

Open Question: WHAT SERIOS MEDICAL PROBLEMS OCCUR MORE FREQUENTLY AMONG MYOPIC PEOPLE THAN THOSE WITH NORMAL SIGHT?
Detached retina for one is extremely low in its occurrence among normal sighted and high in incidence among my opes. Among such diseases as cancer and ulcers and heart problems, as well as depression and carpel tunnel, and others, what diseases occur more frequently among myopic people than among the normal sighted/ Are similar statistics available for farsightedness as well. Alzheimer’s or dementia has been identified as occurring more frequently among the presbyopia suffering population.
