Open Question: Can having a serious mental illness such as depression kill you?
i know you can die by suicide, but for example, me, i have major depressive disorder with psychotic features, anxiety, insomnia, irritability and paranoia. I was reading that having depression alone can shorten your life do to the toll it takes on your body, since it affects your whole body.
Ive also heard it can cause you lots of heart problems, even heart disease and heart attacks. What else can it cause, or how else does it affect you? and by me having these different complications, is my life shortened already?
I am declared legally insane to be honest. I have to see a case worker for the rest of my life and be on meds as well. and have been hospitalized 2 times so far. im barely 18 and have been in treatment for about 12 years now

Open Question: What’s up with my parents? Anyone have an explanation :(?
Ok, about 4 months ago or more I was thought to of had a heart murmur and only now, 4 months or more later have they finally taken me in for another check up even though I keep asking. I’m only 13 so I may be missing something that adults do or whatever, anyone help me understand the situation. This has happened before with other medical and non medical stuff, my Dad’s a last minute person and my Mom doesn’t live with us, but she’s close by.
I’m going into medical science when I’m older, I had the definition of a heart murmur explained as soon as I heard about it, I’m going to the doctors in 2 hours so I’ll tell you the results afterwords, thanks for replying.
