Open Question: Can someone scientifically explain how saturated fat “raises cholesterol” and “causes heart disease”?
I enjoy contributing to health articles here on yahoo, but I am quite upset over people’s answers to some questions. For example, if somone wants to lose weight, i see some answers like:
“Don’t eat red meat ,it has saturated fat and it will kill you!!11!!!”
This is terrible misinformation and somewhat like brainwashing,as we have been eating animal fat for thousands of years, and as soon as we started consuming grains and vegetable oils,(about 100 years ago) CHD has spiked significantly.
Can someone prove me wrong without quoting wikipedia on how saturated fat is bad for us? I’d love to see a great explaination. PM me if you reply is too long!
