Open Question: How much should I pay for a golden retriever?
I’ve owned a dog before, (jack russel) so I know how to deal with dogs and I’ve spent time with golden retrievers before. I fell in love with the breed when I was younger. My next door neighbor had one and let me walk it every day, now I finally have a big enough space to own one but I am not sure how much Ill be expecting to pay. I would expect maybe 1000 for a darker colored one.I’ve read the lighter the coat the higher the cost.I am willing to pay up to $2000. Is that reasonable? I want to grab one that is no older than 3 months. Do younger dogs cost more? and finally, I know first hand that maintaining a dog is a lot of $$ but how frequently do these dogs need a vet visit? and what are the common problems (diseases, joint problems,heart issues.)
I know I have a lot of questions, and I know some of these things differ from dog to dog, but answering one will really help me.
