Open Question: cat with GRADE 4 heart murmur?
My four year old cat has a grade 4 heart murmur the vet said. he was like this when I got him, though and because he’s from the shelter they didn’t have any papers on him. The vet wanted me to get a $600 echardiograhm to find out if it’s congenital or pathologic. He is very healthy, no problems physically, and it doesn’t even appear this murmur bothers him — but the ladies at the shelter told me that he could “drop dead at any moment” because GRADE 4 heart mumor is bad.
will he not live very long??? :(
