Open Question: Help! My dad is suffering from obesity!?
My dad has never been overweight in his life. All of a sudden he is up to 300 pounds! I am skinny, and have trying to support him to go on a diet but he just says he doesn’t want to. His knees are failing because of his weight and has not been caring for himself. i tried to explain the effects of obesity like heart disease, knee failure, ect. He says he doesn’t care and if he dies then he dies. I want to help and it just disgusts me to see him like that…(he consumes more than 4000 calories a day). We went to a yogurt shop and he got the super size filled with peanut butter yogurt and junk while I got straight fruit. He also eats 3 big macs from mc Ds and 2 large fries! PLEASE HELP!
He has gained it over a period of about 2 years…
