Open Question: Heart murmur correction for military?
I am 16 years old and have wanted to join the USAF for as far back as I can remember. I was born with a VSD that has since healed itself, yet the doctor still says that I have a heart murmur every time I get a sports physical done. I’ve done some research and have found that having a heart murmur could rule you out of the military, let alone being a pilot. Are there any measures I could take to correct this in order to join the military or am I out of luck? Thanks!
