Open Question: Heart murmur and fast heart beat?
I have a very high rate (90 beats/min resting). I also have a heart murmur. I am in fairly good shape and I do cardio regularly (2-4 times a week). My heart rate goes very high even during mild physical activity, even though I feel fine. Could my heart murmur be causing a high heart rate? Why is my heart rate so high? Is it dangerous to do strenuous physical activity where my heart rate is so high for a long period of time (like a solid hour of my heart rate being at 90-100% effort) even though my body doesn’t feel like it is at 90% effort. Thanks!
These answers aren’t very helpful. I guess my real question is, is it dangerous for me to workout with a high heart rate even though I feel fine? I am not taking any medications that could cause a high heart rate. Thanks.
