Open Question: Sudden shortness of breath?
Ok so I have a heart murmur, but its never effected my breathing before so I’m not sure if this has something to do with it.
A little over a year ago I realised every now and then I would feel like I’m getting short of breath, so I would have to take a deeep breath and then I would be fine again. You know when you’ve just held you breath and bit, without actually taking a breath, just holding it. And you soon get the feeling in your chest that you need to take a breath? well that’s the feeling I got, lately though i’ve been experiencing that feeling every few minuets, i’d say, in the past hour i’ve had to take 30 really deep breaths. What i’ve found helps is, as you would obviously be aware of, when you breathe (without taking notice) you don’t need to fully open your mouth, but I HAVE to open my mouth so the air gets in better, I don’t know why this is happening. I don’t have asthma, and my heart murmur only effects my breathing when I’ve been running around, but never for no reason. I do have strong allergies to dust, and anything fluffy, but that’s never effected my breathing, only my nose. So does anyone know what could be causing this? Could my heart murmur be getting worse? Cause it ws already pretty bad the begin with. Any help would be great.
I’m not sure if this is the right category
I’m 15 btw

Voting Question: I feel a slight arythmia at sudden changes of position?
I recently feel a heart beat for a short while, whenever I bend down to pick up something, or I sit down quickly. It lasts only for a couple of seconds. I am 60, and underwent coronary angiography a year ago, which indicated normal, except for a “mild LAD lesion”. The doctors withdrew nitroglycerine and placed me on Metoral at 25 mg a day. I usually run for half an hour at a mild speed (considering my age), and feel no pain so long as I am running at mild speed. At faster speeds I may feel some pain, which disappears in the course of running and without having to interrupt, just by slowing down. Am I likely to have a condition?
I noticed that this kind of rhythm fluctuations are called “heart palpitations”.
