I am asking this question for my mom. She is on Cymbolta for depression. After being on the medicine for 2 weeks, her heart began fluttering constantly. The fluttering was occuring very often, so the doctor lowered her dosageand it stopped but only for about a week. Now, the fluttering is back and is still constant. Anyone have any idea what is causing this? Is this something we should worry about? Any suggestions/feedback would be helpful…Thanks.

My church suggested cut out caffeine and they found nothing wrong an older lady at my cardiologist his response was fluttering went away when told my heart was well good that solves that solves.
she needs to stay in constant communication with her doctor about this. She may not be able to continue this medicine she is taking. If this new medicine is the only new meds she is on then it almost has to be the culprit. Also have her to try to stop all caffeine intake, this can cause heart palpitations.
Sometimes you have to tell the doctor what to do, maybe she should try another antidepressant. be persistent in this mater.
